Industry Experience
I have worked in the combined Architectural Ironmongery and window and door industry for over 26 years’ and have diverse knowledge and experience in both UK and European operations. I started my career working at Regional sales level at Door Panels PLC and expanded my knowledge and experience with various PVCu Extrusion houses in regional roles including Marshall Tufflex and Bowater Halo. I Worked at HOPPE for 11 years where I was national sales manager of both Door and Window and Architectural Divisions, and for the last 5 of those years I was the UK main board Sales and Marketing Director which involved major group projects and extensive involvement throughout Europe. The latter role enabled me to experience first-hand and gain knowledge and an understanding of mergers and acquisitions applying group commercial synergies. I also had just under 2 years working as a consultant to the FIT show and I understand the industry needs and requirements.
Skills and experience
I have very wide ranging knowledge of the industry sectors and have been a very successful and accomplished director of sales for fast growing industry leading businesses. I fully understand the need and the systems required to develop and coach a sales culture in organisations and am a very keen instigator of going the extra mile. Developing teams and creating internal employee assets was a core philosophy and a real passion of mine which added greatly to business growth and employee stability. I have a no hold back approach and thrive on creating positivity -indeed many of my former colleagues have themselves graduated into senior industry positions. I really look forward to sharing my learned and acquired knowledge as a part of the Pace team. Working with a client on a new opportunity is not ‘job placement’ – it is an intensive trust building investment for both parties and industry knowledge first hand is a fantastic asset to share.
About Me
I am not known as a shy person – dancing is my keen hobby whether Salsa, Ceroc, Modern Jive or Tango I love to get in the groove and my energy rubs off everywhere I go! Not content with dancing just in the UK I also like to travel to Europe and Australia to follow my passion.
